On the day

Getting to and from the venue

We have arranged a bus to collect all guests from their accomodation on the day. Guests can only arrive to the venue via pre-arranged transport options due to limited parking.

For guests driving to Byron Bay for the day, we will arrange a shuttle bus to and from a designated parking location.

At the end of the night, the bus will drop all guests back to accomodation. Transport options will also be available for guests needing to leave early.

Parking on site

Fig Tree requests all guests arrive ONLY by pre-arranged transport options. Failure to follow venue rules will lead to additional charges / fines for us on the day.

Taxis and Ubers

In special circumstances, we can arrange for people to arrive by Taxi or Uber. We will be required to get venue pre-approval two weeks prior to the ceremony.

Please let us know on the RSVP form if you require special transportation option.

Where to stay

Elements of Byron Bay

For guests looking to enjoy Byron Bay beaches, lounge by the pool and enjoy the warm spring weather, we can provide you with a 15% wedding guest discount at Elements of Byron Bay.

Resort luxe, play areas for the kids, an adult only swim up pool bar area, access to the main town via ‘Solar Train’ or eBikes, an IGA down the road and a short stroll to North Byron Hotel for a meal and a bevvy.

If we can guarantee at least 10 villa bookings, we will be able negotiate a higher discount (20-30%) for guests staying over the week / weekend.

As much as we would love to kick on on the night, we are going to get some ZZZs after the BEST DAY EVER.
We WILL be there for a kick on the NEXT DAY with all the kids running around.

We will be arranging a post wedding gathering the next day to catch up with anyone still in town.
We are planning to hang out in Byron for a few days after the wedding to catch up and spend time with those that have travelled from afar to Byron for the wedding.
Of yourself? Yep!
Of the venue? Go for it!
Of other guests? Check with them
Of the children of other guests? Nope. Don’t do this.
Of the bride and groom BEFORE they have had a chance to post
their own wedding on socials? That would be rude.
Of the bride and groom AFTER they have posted their wedding on
socials? Yes! But it may be a while…we really are not big social media posters.
